Corresponding with the impending launch of Gran Turismo 6, Polyphony Digital has partnered with Adrian Newey — the chief technical officer for four-time Formula 1 champion Red Bull Racing – to create the Red Bull X2014. Unencumbered by any regulatory standards and consequently dubbed the “ultimate racecar,” the concept actually comes in three editions: the Red Bull X2014 Fan car (pictured here), the Red Bull X2014 Standard car and the Red Bull X2014 Junior car. The previous X2010 fan concept from Gran Turismo 5, also created with Newey, developed 1,557 horsepower from a twin-turbo V6 and topped out at more than 280 mph. Its successor should top those impressive numbers. Fans will discover its performance capabilities first-hand when Gran Turismo 6 launches December 6th.
