Best known as an early adopter among the world’s luxury fashion houses, BURBERRY PRORSUM is once again “a first” when it premiered the preview video for the upcoming Spring/Summer 2014 Womenswear Runway Show – shot with a Apple iPhone 5S. A visual collage of fabrics, patterns, design details, as well as inspirations and glimpses of what to expect, BURBERRY PRORSUM and Christopher Bailey, its Chief Creative Officer, got the chance to test out iPhone 5S‘ new iSight Camera since the smartphone won’t be for sale till September 20th. One of the first brand to live-cast its runway shows and implemented a seamless cohesion between live events and shoppers’ retail experiences, the new partnership with Apple is another way for Bailey to test out new digital integration for BURBERRY.
Plus, customers can now purchase straight from the show through BURBERRY’s “Runway Made To Order” initiative. Available till September 30th, each item will be handmade to order and personalized with a brass bespoke nameplate. The BURBERRY PRORSUM Spring/Summer 2014 Womenswear Runway Show will be taking place this coming Monday, September 16th.
