Leica has unveiled the Leica C, the first model in a new line of compact digital cameras. Featuring a slim and stylish silhouette developed by Audi Design, the Leica C looks to have been inspired by the Panasonic Lumix LF1. Details include a 12MP 1/1.7-inch sensor and a 28-200mm f/2-5.9 Vario-Summicron 7x zoom lens, 3-inch LCD and full-HD video function. Additionally, the Leica C is the first Leica camera to feature an integrated Wi-Fi and NFC module, allowing the wireless transfer of images and videos to smartphones and tablets through a Wi-Fi connection. Available in dark red or light gold with a range of matching accessories, the Leica C is scheduled to launch in October.
