Along with the unveiling of its new Nexus 6 flagship phone, Google has also announced the launch of its Nexus 9 tablet, made by HTC and sporting front-facing speakers, an 8.9-inch 2048 x 1440 281 PPI LCD screen, and a 6700 mAh battery. The device will run the new Android Lollipop, with a 64-bit 2.3GHz Nvidia K1 processor, Kepler GPU and 2GB of RAM under the hood. Additional highlights include an 8-megapixel rear-facing camera with LED flash and a f/2.4 aperture, as well as a keyboard attachment that “magnetically attaches to the Nexus 9, folds into two different angles and rests securely on your lap like a laptop.” Available in three colors and three configurations — 16GB for $399, 32GB for $479 and an LTE-enabled 32GB model for $599 — the Google Nexus 9 tablet launches November 3rd, with pre-orders available here beginning October 17th.
