Panasonic has unveiled its new Lumix DMC-FZ1000 bridge camera, joining last year’s Sony Cyber-shot DSC-RX10 as the only bridge-style zoom shooter with a 1-inch sensor. That 1-inch 20-megapixel image sensor is joined by a 25mm Ultra Wide-Angle Leica lens, but one trick up its sleeve that should set the camera apart is the ability to shoot 4K video at 30fps. Additional features include Panasonic’s New Venus Engine image processing and Optical Image Stabilization, while onboard Wi-Fi and NFC ar the connectivity options. Retailing at $899, the Panasonic Lumix DMC-FZ1000 is set to stores starting July 27th.
