Canon‘s PowerShot G1 X gets a much needed update with the introduction of the Canon PowerShot G1 X Mark II, featuring a high-quality 12.8-megapixel CMOS sensor (down from its predecessor’s 14 megapixels) paired with a faster 24-120mm f2-3.9 lens, which boasts a wider angle start, longer telephoto end and closer focus capability. Dual lens control rings means the user can control zoom, aperture and shutter speed easily. The G1 X Mark II replaces the optical viewfinder of the original with a tilting rear display, which can be adjusted at 180-degree angles. Added connectivity, through NFC and Wi-Fi, allows for remote shooting, or the quick transfer of images to one’s smartphone. Look for the Canon G1 X Mark II to hit stores in April
