In honor of Leica‘s 100th anniversary, ad agency Saatchi & Saatchi created a non-functional Leica camera, which is assembled from a flat acrylic sheet containing the detachable parts. Plans to distribute the assembly kit as part of a promotional run from Saatchi’s Brazilian office ultimately fell through, but Marcelo Ribeiro — a designer at the agency — has shared images and a video of the inventive project. The clip shows the assembly process, featuring the interlocking parts coming together to create an art object that pays fitting tribute to the artistry contained in each Leica camera.
